Alana Miller earned North Whidbey Aquatic Club Swimmer of the Meet honors for her effort at the Bob Miller Classic Nov. 7 and 8 at Bainbridge Island.
Miller, 10, posted two Pacific Northwest Swim age group championship qualifying times while placing second in the 50-yard backstroke (35:67) and third in the 50 butterfly (34.47).
She also placed seventh in the 50 freestyle (32.65).
Others receiving NWAC awards from coach Richard Taylor were Grace Chargualaf, 13 (100 back, 1:23.48), and Di Dominguez, 13 (100 breaststroke, 1:36.73), Fast Swim of the Meet; Robin Zemlo, 11, Most Improved Swimmer of the Meet; and Lola Chargualaf, 9 (50 free, 36.47), Leylah Dominguez, 9 (50 free, 46.9), and Sam Martin, 11 (100 individual medley, 1:35.32), Great Blue Heron Swims.
