Oak Harbor golfers Resego Mooki and Jessica Monaghan qualified for the girls state golf tournament by placing in the top 18 at the District 1 Tournament Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kayak Point Golf Course.

Monaghan, a junior, used a strong second round to jump into the state meet. She was 24th after day one with a 104 but fired a 98 Wednesday to move up to 14th.

Mooki, a senior, shot rounds of 92 and 98 and placed sixth.  She finished 33rd at last year’s state tournament; this will be Monaghan’s first trip to state.
