Sedro-Woolley used a strong all-around game to win 10-0 and eliminate the North Whidbey all-stars from the 9/10 district tournament Monday, July 11, in Langley.
Sedro-Woolley’s offense mixed eight hits with three walks to produce double digit runs, and its pitching registered seven strikeouts while limiting North Whidbey to no runs on one hit.
Chris Shashaty singled for North Whidbey with two outs in the final inning. Shane Hoffmire, Connor Cash, Gunnar Lutz, Aidyn McDermott, Trevor Sadler and Shashaty all walked.
“Sedro was a little too much for my boys to handle,” coach Erik Sadler said. “(North Whidbey) played great ball for sure, without a doubt, and against teams they weren’t really supposed to play well against. All in all, we are extremely proud of the way the boys came together as a team and played as one each and every game.”
