Josh Jepsen won five events in the boys 13-14 division to lead the North Whidbey Aquatic Club (NWAC) Aquajets to a second-place team effort (2,149 points) in the eight-team Harvest Open swim meet at Kamiak High School Nov. 7 and 8.

The meet was won by the Stingray Swim Club of Snohomish (3,403 points); third place went to the host South Snohomish County Dolphins (2,141 points).

Other event winners–Jacob Jepsen, Marissa Morris, Tori Nickerson, Michelle Robinson and Olivia Tungate.

100 percent personal best: Ryan Cuajunco, Mariel Empinado, Angela Johnson, Caleb Thompson and Toren Wood.

New Pacific Northwest Swimming Championships qualifying times: Cuajunco, Jacob Jepsen, Joey Jepsen, Ethan Tack, Wood, Tungate,and Nickerson.

New Age Group Sectional Championships qualifying times: Morris.

NWAC Swimmer of the Meet: Morris: nine personal bests, New Age Group Sectional cuts (200 free, 2:17.87; 500 free, 6:02.45), first in the 400 IM in 5:33.49.

NWAC next competes at the Kamiak Mile Nov. 15 at Kamiak High School.

The North Whidbey Aquatic Club (NWAC) is a competitive swimming program that includes swimmers of all abilities and ages from 6 through college.

Tryouts occur Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at the city pool from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.
