High school aged students have an opportunity to take part in a conditioning program offered by North Whidbey Parks and Recreation District, North Whidbey Aquatic Club and Oak Harbor High school athletic department.
The swimming-based program allows students and athletes to train in the off season, improve their swimming skills, improve their overall fitness and keep fit between sports seasons.
The program gives students access to the pool 2:45-3:35 p.m. Monday-Thursday. In addition, the Oak Harbor High School weight room is open for 30 minutes for dry-land training Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The cost is $48 per month. An annual $65 USA Swimming registration fee is required. The program runs through June 27, 2014.
