The Oak Harbor swim and dive team overwhelmed the two Marysville schools Monday, Oct. 3, at John Vanderzicht Pool.
The Wildcats defeated Marysville Getchell 137-44 and Marysville Pilchuck 140-39 to raise their record to 3-4. MP defeated MG 94-81.
Oak Harbor’s Karina Concepcion earned a state-qualiying time while winning the 50-meter free in 28.57.
Ciara Hu captured two individual events (200 individual medley, 2:35.19; 100 butterfly, 1:09.79), and both Concepcion and Hu swam on two first-place relay teams.
Irysh Concepcion also nabbed two individual firsts (200 free, 2:34.58; 100 free, 1:08.69) and two relay wins.
Coach Amy Merkley called her team a “coachable crew” who are “really improving their times and strokes.”
Oak Harbor travels to Cascade Thursday, Oct. 6, at 2:30 p.m.
