The Oak Harbor High School tennis team lost 6-1 at home to first-place Arlington Monday, May 2, but managed to hold on to second place in the Wesco North.

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team lost 6-1 at home to first-place Arlington Monday, May 2, but managed to hold on to second place in the Wesco North.

The Wildcat (6-3, 7-8) are tied with Stanwood (6-3, 6-6) for second with one match remaining. Oak Harbor goes to Marysville Getchell (1-8, 3-10) at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3.

Arlington raised its North record to 9-0; 13-1, overall.

Emma Wezeman and Emily Brown tallied Oak Harbor’s point, winning third doubles 6-2, 6-2.

Other results versus Arlington:

Singles: 1, AnnaBelle Whitefoot lost 6-1, 6-0; 2, Tamia Rios lost 6-1, 6-0; 3, Emma Lerch lost 6-0, 6-0; 4, Chante Powell lost 6-4, 6-3.

Doubles: 1, Lauren Aspery/Peyton Carlson lost 6-1, 7-5; 2, Brianne Deguzman/Ria Bains lost 6-1, 6-3.
