Burlington, a team of 14-year-olds, jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, then Oak Harbor, a team with 13-year-olds, scored seven runs over the next four innings to go up 7-1.
Burlington bounced back with two runs in the fifth and five in the sixth to go ahead 8-7. In the top of the seventh, the Wildcats scored twice to regain the lead, then Burlington tallied once in its half of the inning to even the score.
Gage McLeod had two hits, including a double, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base to lead the offense. He also pitched the first five innings and surrendered only four hits and two earned runs whiling striking out six.
Kaito White chipped in with two hits, two runs and four stolen bases; and Will Rankin walked twice, scored twice and stole two bases.
