The Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team lifted its record to 8-1 with a 102-74 win over Shorecrest at Shorewood High School Thursday, Oct. 16.
The Wildcats (8-1) meet Cascade (7-6) in the final home meet of the season at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20.
Oak Harbor won 10 of the 12 events against Shorecrest (5-4), getting two wins each from Marissa Morris (200-yard freestyle, 2:08.08; 500 free, 5:40.93), Taliah Black (200 individual medley, 2:25.78; 100 breaststroke, 1:14.74) and Mollie Briddell (100 free, 59.56; 100 backstroke, 1:07.72).
Lauren Vagt (50 free, 27.79) and Jillian Pape (100 butterfly, 1:05.72) also earned firsts.
Oak Harbor won the 200 medley (Briddell, Black, Pape, Vagt, 2:03.48) and 400 free relays (Briddell, Erica Sugatan, Vagt, Morris, 4:10.98).
The Wildcats had 55 percent personal bests, according to coach Erin Bull.
Sophie Dickinson sliced eight seconds off her 500 freestyle time and earned a district qualifying time while placing fourth in 6:39.09.
Vanessa Burr trimmed four seconds off her 100 free time, and all three swimmers in the 100 butterfly (Pape, Vagt and Mariel Empinado) dropped time.
