Three individuals and a relay team from the Oak Harbor High School track team and two individuals from Coupeville have posted marks among the state’s top 10 in their respective classes.
Oak Harbor’s Chris Hailer has the state’s fourth-best high jump (6-2) among 3A schools. He trails three who have cleared 6-4.
Josiah Miller is sixth in the 200 (22.59) behind leader Darius Railford of Columbia River (21.54).
Jeremy Foster is 10th in the shot put (47-11.5); Moreli Failaugu of University leads at 51-2.
Miller, Dejon Devroe, Chris Opdyke and Conner Meyer have the state’s fourth best 4×400 time (3:30.49). Wesco foe Glacier Peak is on top with a 3:28.29.
Coupeville’s Madison Tisa-McPhee is fourth among 1A 100 hurdlers (16.74) and seventh in the 300 hurdles (50.41).
Newport’s Arielle Walden leads in the 100 hurdles (15.87), and Bellevue Christian’s Bree Oldham leads in the 300 (46.87).
Mitch Pelroy ranks sixth among 1A 400 runners (52.94), following leader Quinn Roberson of Freeman (49.54).
