Oak Harbor drops double dual / Girls wrestling

Filling less than half the weight classes, the Oak Harbor High School girls wrestling team lost a double dual match with Bellingham United and host Sedro-Woolley Wednesday, Dec. 18.

The Wildcats won three of the four matches they wrestled against Bellingham United.

Ella Erikson (125 pounds) and Barrett Chowning (140) both won with first-round falls, and Maria Dailey (155) won 18-6.

Taylor Cress (130) lost by a fall.

Dailey picked up Oak Harbor’s only victory against Sedro-Woolley, winning 19-4.

Erikson, Cress, Chowning and Ally Grose (170) all lost by falls.

The Wildcats compete in the Pride of the Lady Lions Tournament in Lynden Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20 and 21.
