The Oak Harbor rallied to send the game into extra innings, but visiting Glacier Peak scored four times in the top of the eighth inning to win 8-4 Wednesday, April 30.

The loss eliminated Oak Harbor from postseason play.

Danny Wolfe led off the bottom of the seventh with a single, and pinch runner Clay Doughty eventually scored to tie the game at 2 and push it to extra innings.

The Wildcats had a chance to win the game, but left the bases loaded.

The Grizzlies (8-7, 8-10) had two on with two out in the eighth, then three consecutive hits and an error led to four runs and the win.

Glacier Peak scored in the second inning on a hit, wild pitch and RBI single.

In the third, C.J. Meders led off with a single for Oak Harbor. Rhys Mattila bunted courtesy runner Casiano Atienza to second. Nate Stanford singled, and an error on the play allowed Atienza to score.

GP had two out and no one on in the sixth against Oak Harbor starter Jozef Mendoza, then a hit batter, single and error produced a run.

Wolfe and Stanford each had two hits; Tyler Snavely and Meders added singles.

Oak Harbor (5-10, 5-13) completes its season next week.

It travels to Shorewood (13-1, 16-1), which held the No. 1 spot in the state 3A poll much of the season, at 4 p.m. Monday, May 5, and then finishes with Meadowdale (7-7, 9-8) at home at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 6.
