A three-run seventh inning helped Oak Harbor come from behind and send the first game into extra innings where it won 14-11 in nine innings, then it took advantage of six Anacortes errors to win the four-inning second game 12-6.

In the opener, Oak Harbor scooted to a 6-1 in the fourth inning.

Christian Bertram singled and scored on Allen Peruelo’s double to get the scoring started in the second.

Oak Harbor added three in the third. With two outs, Robert Herring reached on a two-base error, Quentin Tungate singled in Herring, Sean Erskine’s single scored Tungate and Bertram’s drag bunt scored Erskine.

In the fourth, a fielder’s choice, walk and Herring’s hit scored two.

Anacortes took command with an eight-run fourth, then the two teams traded runs in the fifth to make it 10-7. Oak Harbor’s run came from Erksine’s single, a stolen pass and two passed balls.

Oak Harbor came through with three in the seventh to keep the game alive.

Kevyn Johnson started the rally with a bunt single, then Herring and Noah Zuniga singled to load the bases. Erskine’s sacrifice fly scored one run, Fred Miller singled in the second and Zuniga scored on a passed ball.

Both teams scored in the eighth. Oak Harbor’s run came off singles by Hunt and Johnson.

Oak Harbor finally sealed the game with three in the ninth, all with two outs. Valencia walked, Alex Harrison singled and Hunt and Trent Benson hit back-to-back doubles.

Erskine finished with three hits, and Johnson, Herring, Hunt and Bertram had two each.

The slugging continued in the second game when Oak Harbor scored five in the first and Anacortes three. Tyler Snavely led with an error and Johnson walked. Herring scored Snavely on a drag bunt. Consecutive hits by Tungate, Erskine and Peruelo and an error gave Oak Harbor its five.

In the second, Snavely doubled and scored on Johnson’s drag bunt. Herring singled in Johnson and Oak Harbor led 7-5 after two.

Neither team scored in the third, then Oak Harbor got five more in the fourth on hits by Herring and Hunt, a pair of walks and two errors.

Oak Harbor goes to Burlington at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 21.
