Add pink to Oak Harbor High School’s traditional colors of purple and gold this week.

The Oak Harbor cheerleaders are sponsoring “Paws for the Cure” and will be wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness at Friday night’s football game against Shorecrest.

The week’s activities include raising money during school by selling paper paws for a $1 donation to be placed on large pink ribbons for each graduating class, dying pink socks for each football player, treating the first 100 people entering the stadium dressed in pink to something special and selling pink beads, bracelets and other items — all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Fans are encouraged to support the Wildcat football team and Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing pink this Friday.
