Oak Harbor High School’s Dallas Riddle-Stevens found the home course at Fort Nugent Park to his liking as the Wildcats hosted their lone home cross country meet of the year Thursday, Sept. 20.
The Wildcat junior led the field of 64 with a time of 12:59 over 3,950 meters.
The top Oak Harbor female finisher was senior Alex Smith, finishing third in 15:46 behind winner Anna Skoog of Jackson (15:21).
Jackson dominated the team scoring. The Timberwolves had seven of the next eight runners after Riddle-Stevens to win the boys race with 21 points. Oak Harbor tallied 55 and Stanwood 60.
Jackson produced six of the top 10 girls for a score of 24. Stanwood edged Oak Harbor 51-57 for second.
Next up, the Wildcats, Glacier Peak and Lynnwood go to Archbishop Murphy (McCollum County Park in Mill Creek) for a 3:45 p.m. meet Thursday, Sept. 27.
