Oak Harbor High School’s John Rodeheffer placed 11th and Clayton Richardson 12th in the 1,600 meter finals at the first day of the state 3A track meet at Mount Tahoma High School Thursday, May 23.

Rodeheffer, a sophomore, ran 4:27, while Richardson, a junior, posted a 4:27.69. North Central’s Keith Williams won in 4:14.6.

The Oak Harbor girls 4×200 relay team of Sierra Seabolt, Matti Miesle, Christina Wicker and Jessica Hollins finished eighth in their heat in 1:51.43 and did not qualify for the finals.

No other Oak Harbor athletes competed Thursday.

The meet continues Friday and Saturday.

Jeremy Foster and Dayne Herron will participate in the shot put, Chris Hailer in the high jump, Alex Laiblin in the girls 3,200, Rodeheffer in the boys 3,200 and Wicker in the 800.
