Laura Rosen added another fine chapter to her North Whidbey Aquatic Club career at the Bob Miller Classic at the Bainbridge Island Swim Center Nov. 5 and 6.
Rosen won all seven of her events and the high point award for her division, girls 15-and-older. Rosen also established a Senior Sectional qualifying time and team record in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a 17:56.95, a 39-second improvement.
Other Aquajet event winners were Alli Hoffmire, Marissa Morris and Olivia Tungate.
Taliah Black and Brett Vagt earned Pacific Northwest Swim championship times, while Michelle Robinson and Autumn Robinson clocked gold cuts and Christy Thompson and Kelsey Vogt met silver cuts.
Vagt’s work earned him NWAC Swimmer of the Meet honors. In addition to his PNS time, he finished with 100 percent personal records, including a 54-second drop in the mile (18:16.69). His mile swim featured descending 500s (5:33, 5:32, 5:28).
Tungate and Lauren Vagt also had PRs in every race.
NWAC next competes at the Kamiak Age Group Invitational Nov. 19 and 20 at Kamiak High School, where it will field a team of 24.
