Fighting off the bug, the Oak Harbor swim and dive team drowned previously undefeated Lake Stevens 110-73 Thursday, Sept. 30, in the Vikings’ pool.
Wildcat coach Erika Miller said, “Not stellar swims for us, but considering how many have been out sick last week, not bad.”
Ciara Hu took part in four firsts to help carry the Wildcats. She grabbed the 100 free (59.66) and diving (127.15) and teamed with Karina Concepcion, Akasha Trisler and Tori Nickerson to win the 200 medley relay (1:59.84) and 200 free relay (1:50.1).
Concepcion took the 100 fly (1:04.83), and Trisler the 100 breast (1:12.46).
Coupeville’s Rachel Weinstein won the 200 free (2:11.83) and 500 free (5:42.53).
Oak Harbor (2-5, 2-6) heads to Everett (0-3, 1-6) Tuesday, Oct. 5.
