Oak Harbor High School’s MJ Timm finished fifth in the Wesco North singles tennis tournament Wednesday, May 8, at Snohomish.
After winning two of three matches Tuesday, Timm lost to Everett’s Melody Barnhart 6-0, 6-1 in a winner-to-district match Wednesday.
Timm then beat Megan Lever of Snohomish 6-2, 6-4 to take fifth and become the first alternate to district.
The district tournament begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Arlington High School.
