Marysville-Pilchuck topped the Oak Harbor High School soccer team 3-1 Friday, April 15, at Wildcat Memorial Stadium, keeping pace with the lead pack in the Western Conference standings.
M-P raised its league record to 6-1 (9-1—1 overall) and is one of four one-loss teams trailing 6-0 Glacier Peak.
Oak Harbor, at 2-4 (3-6-1), dropped into a tie with Everett for eighth in the 13-team league.
“We played well in the first half,” Oak Harbor coach Brian Thompson said. “Our players did a great job against the second-place team.”
Oak Harbor scored first when Kegan Snell tallied off an assist from Eric Closson with 14 minutes left in the first half.
The Tomahawks scored just before the break to even the match.
Oak Harbor travels to Edmonds-Woodway (5-1-1, 9-1-1) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19.
