The Whidbey Fury Volleyball Club is getting ready for the 2015-16 season and has scheduled a pair of informational meetings for interested players and parents.

Those meetings are 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Coupeville High School gymnasium and Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the North Whidbey Middle School gym in Oak Harbor.

The team, which plays under the umbrella of USA Club Volleyball, is open to girls 10 to 18.

Tryouts will be at North Whidbey Middle School from 4-6 p.m. Players U14 and under will try out Wednesday, Nov. 11, and players U15 and over will meet Sunday, Nov. 15.

Players need to register before trying out. Go to www.psrvb.org and select Whidbey Fury to register.

Pay your initial $5 tryout fee and print and copy the form and bring it to the tryout.

Players can also register beginning at 3 p.m. at the tryouts.

Players, who should bring their own court shoes and water, will be evaluated on existing and potential skill level, effort, attitude, sportsmanship and interaction with the coaches and other players.
