Glacier Peak remained undefeated in conference play with a 5-0 win over the Oak Harbor High School soccer team at Wildcat Memorial Stadium Friday, April 22.
The Grizzlies, coached by Oak Harbor graduate Kyle Veach, lead the Western Conference with an 8-0 record, 9-3 overall. Oak Harbor fell to 2-5-1, 3-7-2.
“It was a very difficult game,” Oak Harbor coach Brain Thompson said, adding that his “players were not going to give up.”
The Wildcats are jockeying for a playoff spot and finish the conference season with four matches with teams near or below them in the standings. First up is a trip to Stanwood (1-7-1, 2-10-1) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
