The Whidbey Island Junior Little League (13/14) baseball team got another crack at Sedro-Woolley, but for the second time in the tournament, couldn’t take down the Skagit team.
Sedro-Woolley stopped Whidbey 10-0 Thursday, July 3, in Anacortes to claim the District 11 crown.
The two teams also met in the first round of the tournament, and Sedro-Woolley eked out a 3-2 win in nine innings.
The Whidbey all-stars, coached by Curt Le Roy, Rick Grecco and Tony Robinson, included players from all three island leagues.
Jakob Dailey, Joseph Dixon, Donny Kloewer and Nathanael Thompson represented North Whidbey; and Nick Etzell, Jacob Hoagland and Jojo Welling represented Central Whidbey.
