Next up is the regional meet at Tacoma’s Mount Tahoma High School Saturday, March 14.

The Oak Harbor Gold armed drill team, unarmed drill team and No. 1 air rifle team all collected first place in the seven-team Olympic Division.

They will compete in the regional meet along with the other teams which finished ranked in the top three in the 32-team region.

Oak Harbor’s second air rifle team and color guard No. 2 placed second in the region, while the No. 1 physical strength team and No. 1 color guard finished third.

Also heading to regional are the duos of Cooper Stone and Jeremiah Holcomb (dual armed exhibition drill) and Noel Pangilinan and Jomar Perez (dual unarmed exhibition drill).

The Purple armed drill team and the second physical strength team just missed qualifying for regional by placing fourth.

At the final division meet at Snohomish, Wildcat Battalion earned four firsts.

Oak Harbor dominated the shooting with Wildcats taking the top five individual spots out of 84 participants.

Colton Baumgardner finished first, followed by Abigail Holt, Hailey Hahn, Thomas Davila and Marjorie Rouse. Austin McBride placed seventh.

Color Guard No. 2 also won a team event.

In other team action, Oak Harbor’s armed drill team and No. 1 physical strength team placed second.

Color guard No. 1, the unarmed drill and the No. 2 rifle team finished third.

The No. 2 physical strength team was fourth.

In individual competition, Callie Nuttail finished first in the strength team ironwoman event.

Charlene Mangebuch took first and Daniel Clark fifth out of 21 in unarmed drill down.

In strength team ironman, Earl Soliman was second, Jose Cabigting third and JJ Abides sixth.

Abides placed second in unarmed commander, and Jared Hunt and Trevor Feinberg went 2-3 in armed commander.
