Oak Harbor High School placed third in a match of the five Wesco North 3A boys golf teams Monday, May 5, at Stanwood’s Kayak Point Golf Course.

Stanwood, led by medalist Halen Davis’s even-par 72, won the match with 394 strokes, followed by Marysville Getchell (425), Oak Harbor (432), Everett (484) and Marysville-Pilchuck (533).

Mac Kerfoot topped the Wildcats with an 82, putting together a solid round that was sabotaged by two bad holes, according to coach David Smith.

Fifth and sixth golfers Steven Timm (84) and Aaron Kelley (87) “really stepped up,” Smith said, recording Oak Harbor’s next best scores.

Hunter Adams shot an 88, Raiden Poe a 91 and Mason Dieter a 100.

The final regular season match is at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 8, when the Wesco North schools meet at Marysville’s Cedarcrest Golf Course.
