The Oak Harbor swim team rolled to another win, defeating host Mount Vernon 108-62 Thursday, Oct. 11.
The Wildcats (10-1) close out the regular season with a big meet at Kamiak at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. Along with the host Knights (13-2), one of Wesco’s top programs, the meet will include Cascade (13-0) and Stanwood (7-5).
Cascade handed Oak Harbor its only loss earlier this season.
In the win over Mount Vernon, Oak Harbor won nine of the 11 events and added six seconds.
Emily Huffer (500 free, 5:22.25; 100 back, 1:01.37) and Akasha Trisler (200 free, 2:15.83; 100 breast, 1:18.08) each won two individual events and two relays. They teamed with Lauren Vagt and Irysh Concepcion to win the 200 medley relay (2:07.43) and with Concepcion and Mollie Briddell to take the 400 free relay (4:12.14).
Vagt also won the 100 butterfly (1:13.45) and Concepcion the 50 free (28.3).
Marissa Morris collected the other win (200 IM, 2:26.28).
