After finish third Friday and second Monday, the Oak Harbor High School boys golf team completed the pattern by winning Tuesday, April 22, at Useless Bay Golf and Country Club.

The Wildcats, with 341 strokes over 14 holes, easily defeated host South Whidbey (375) and Monroe (398).

Monroe’s Owen Fenner shot a two-over 57 for medalist honors; Oak Harbor’s Mac Kerfoot was second at 61, followed by teammates Steven Timm (64) and Aaron Kelley (65).

Caleb Brookshire shot a 74, and Mason Dieter and Tom Dale each carded a 77.

“I was really impressed with Caleb, a freshman playing his second varsity match,” coach David Smith said. “He played a little over bogey golf.”

After playing three matches in three school days, Oak Harbor is off until 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, when it meets Glacier Peak, Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace at the Whidbey Golf Club.
