Powered by 11 wrestlers who placed in the top four, Oak Harbor High School won the eight-team Shoreline Invitational Saturday, Jan. 9, at Shorecrest High School.
The Wildcats edged Shorewood 215-210 to claim the team title.
Oak Harbor produced four individual champions, including finishing 1-2 in the 120-pound class when Garrett Stahl defeated teammate Caleb Fitzgerald in the championship bout.
The Wildcats also had two placers at 113, with Zion Gomez snaring first and William Nickelson third.
Dymond Piper (152) and Sam Zook (285) were the other weight-class champions.
Blake Servatius (106) took second, while Blake McBride (132), Nick Dugin (170), Joshua Margraf (182) and Nate Mecum (195) earned thirds.
Oak Harbor (5-2) challenges state title contender Arlington (8-0) in a Wesco North match at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, in Oak Harbor.
The Wildcats will honor Rich Linsenmayer, who died Dec. 26, before the match. Linsenmayer led the Oak Harbor wrestling program from 1969-99.
