Terra Baird led the Wildcats and finished second overall with a 53 over nine holes.

Hannah Taylor shot 59, Beth Paul 61, Suzanne Kaltenbach 63, Makayla Miller 65 and Tia Miesle 69.

The Chargers’ Abbie Braun earned medalist honors with a 45.

“I feel that our performance was a good starting point for the season,” coach Andy Wesley said. “The weather played a factor in our scores. We had sideways rain and hail.”

Oak Harbor played without its top golfer, Resego Mooki, who missed the match because of college testing.

The Wildcats host the 18-team Whidbey Shootout at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Whidbey Golf Club.
