Oak Harbor High School’s Nick Krantz tied for medalist honors in the first Wesco North boys golf meet of 2018 at Kayak Point Tuesday, March 27.

As a team, the Wildcats placed fifth out of seven schools in the nine-hole match.

Krantz and Stanwood’s Cole Weiderstrom shot two-over 38s to lead the field of 38 golfers.

Everett took team honors with a 203. Arlington (218) edged Snohomish (219) and Marysville-Pilchuck (221) for second. Oak Harbor carded a 236, Marysville Getchell had 278 and Stanwood did not have enough players to qualify for a team score.

Haven Brown was next in line for the Wildcats with a 42. Nate Thompson shot 46, Nick Whitley 50, Wyatt Bright 60 and Billy Titskowski 62.

Oak Harbor’s next match is the eight-team Everett Invitational at noon Thursday, March 29, at Legion Memorial Golf Course.
