The Oak Harbor High School cross country teams did not capture their four-team meets at Hamlin Park in Shoreline Thursday, Sept. 25, but they did produce the individual winners.
Seniors John Rodeheffer and Jonalynn Horn each won their 5,000-meter race by nearly a minute to lead the Wildcats.
Lake Stevens topped the boys team scoring with 26 points, followed by host Shorecrest (47), Oak Harbor (77) and Monroe (93).
Shorecrest was the girls winner with 45 points. Oak Harbor captured a close battle for second with 57 points, two better than Monroe and three ahead of Lake Stevens.
Oak Harbor will compete in its lone home meet of the season at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Windjammer Park against Everett, Mountlake Terrace and Stanwood.
