Taking a break from Wesco action, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team topped South Whidbey 5-2 in a nonleague contest on the Wildcats’ courts Monday, April 20.
Oak Harbor won all four singles matches: 1, Makenzie Perry, 6-2, 6-4; 2, AnnaBelle Whitefoot, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2; 3, Tamia Rios, 6-0, 6-1; and 4, Alyssa Eden, 6-1, 6-2.
The Wildcats also picked up a point in third doubles as Elyssa Bonanay and Lauren Aspery won 7-5, 4-6, 6-2.
Patrice Woodworth and Ria Bains fell in first doubles 6-0, 6-1; and Erina Horikawa and Emma Lerch lost in second doubles 6-1, 6-7(3), 6-3.
Elma Marie Empinado won an exhibition match 8-5.
The Wildcats (3-1, 4-5) return to Wesco North play when they go to Marysville Getchell (2-2, 4-4) at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21.
