With the match in the balance, Jakobi Baumann had to work overtime to help the Coupeville High School tennis team edge host Bush 3-2 Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Baumann split the first two sets in first singles, winning 6-4 and losing 6-3. He then outlasted Ivan Repin12-10 to claim the match and the Wolves’ third team point.
Coupeville’s Drake Borden won the second singles match 6-2, 6-2; and Jaschon Baumann and Tiger Johnson came from behind to win 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 in third doubles.
Mason Grove and James Wood dropped the first doubles match 6-3, 7-5; and Zach Ginnings and Jacob Burke lost 7-5, 6-1 in second doubles.
Overlake visits Coupeville at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5.
