The Coupeville High School tennis team put the finishing touches on its second consecutive undefeated conference season with a 4-3 win over visiting Chimacum Wednesday, May 4.

The Wolves now turn their focus to the league tournament Tuesday, May 10, at Chimacum.

Coach Ken Stange said he will enter three singles players and three doubles teams in the conference tournament. The top four in each division will advance to the district playoffs.

District will most likely be played at the Charles Wright Academy, Stange said. The date, also, has not been finalized.

The win over Chimacum raised Coupeville’s final Olympic League record to 5-0. The sixth league match with Klahowya was not rescheduled after a postponement. The Eagles requested out of the match because the Wolves had already clinched the league championship.

Sydney Autio lost 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 in first singles, and Bree Daigneault fell 6-0, 6-1 in third singles.

In fourth doubles, Julianne Sem and Julia Borges were defeated 6-2, 2-6, 10-3.
