The Coupeville track teams collected 18 top-10 finishes at the Cashmere Invitational Saturday, April 15.
The boys finished fifth out of 16 schools with 35 points. The girls took ninth out of 18 with 22.
King’s won both the boys (109 points) and girls (79.5) team titles.
Danny Conlisk claimed the Wolves’ only win, taking the 800 (2:07.73). He was also second in the 400 (52.7). Jacob Smith was second in both the 100 (11.32) and 200 (23,.66). Jacob Martin placed fourth in the long jump (19-06) and eighth in the javelin (128-06).
Cameron Toomey-Stout nabbed sixth in the long jump (18-10) and 10th in the 4×100 with Kyle Burnett, Martin and Smith.
On the girls side, Cassidy Moody led the Wolves by finishing second in the high jump (4-10). Lindsey Roberts placed in both hurdle events (third, 100 hurdles, 16.45; seventh, 300 hurdles, 51.89), and Mallory Kortuem was ninth in the 300 hurdles (51.89).
Skyler Lawrence took eight in the discus (82-08) and ninth in the shot put (28-07). Allison Wenzel was eighth in the javelin, Alexxis Otto ninth in the discus (80-07), and Lucy Sandahl 10th in the 1,500 (5:51.18).
Roberts, Kortuem, Maya Toomey-Stout and Lauren Grove were third in the 4×100 (52,.17) and fifth in the 4×200 (1:50.23).
Coupeville, Sequim, Port Townsend join host Port Angeles at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, April 20.
